Angela Cara, MA, RCC
Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor
Angela Cara has been s a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #6724) for over a decade supporting individuals and couples through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Her work is grounded in a depth-oriented, embodied approach that is thoughtfully attuned to the unique needs of each client.

Angela works with themes such as childhood emotional neglect, ADHD, self-esteem issues, self-abandonment, relational trauma, and the reclamation of the sexual self.

Her practice extends beyond traditional talk therapy, integrating mindfulness, visualization, Focusing-oriented therapy, dreams, and somatic psychotherapy.
This work invites a deeper listening — to the body, to emotion, and to the quieter layers of inner experience — supporting a more authentic, grounded, and self-trusting way of being.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Even in the face of heartbreak, we continue reaching for connection because meaningful change often happens when we feel truly seen by another person.

As a counsellor, I’m genuine, direct, and emotionally present. I work with people who feel disconnected from themselves or their relationships, and who may struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, boundaries, shame, self-worth, or intimacy.

My approach is relational, embodied, and collaborative, drawing from person-centred, AEDP, attachment, Focusing-oriented, and parts-based approaches. I often use metaphor, warmth, honesty, humour, and depth to help clients better understand themselves and their emotional lives.

Together, we slow things down, listen to emotions as meaningful signals, and support deeper connection to intuition, desire, authenticity, and the capacity for fuller relationships, pleasure, and self-expression.

Our work together can help you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and deepen your relationship with yourself and others, so you can feel more grounded, clear, and connected to what matters most to you.

My work is holistic in nature and shaped by an appreciation for the connection between body, mind, and spirit. I’m also guided by a respect for the natural world and the ways it can support healing and renewal.

My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and collaborative. I work in a trauma-informed way, drawing from somatic and attachment-based perspectives, and I welcome people from all backgrounds and life experiences. I look forward to supporting you in your growth.
